The project deploys hundreds of camera traps alongside many fantastic project partners (most notably University College Dublin, the National Parks and Wildlife Service, ReWild Wicklow, and other universities in Ireland).
Iveragh Woodlands EIP
We support this project through the Herbivore Management Strategy pillar. The Iveragh Woodlands European Innovation Partnership (EIP) aims to enhance the ecological and socioeconomic resilience of upland farms in the west of Ireland through active conservation, restoration and sustainable management of native woodlands.
Deer Surveys and Management in Wicklow
During the 2025/2026 season, deer surveys before, during, and after management were conducted for a private land-holding in Co. Wicklow in the hotspot of sika deer abundance. We took part in the hunting management of deer also. In 6 months, the population on the property decreased from approximately 80 deer to less than 20.
